Just three months after the Spotify HiFi announcement, Amazon and Apple both announced (separately, but on the same day) that they would begin offering lossless, high-resolution, and spatial audio music tracks, all for no extra charge. To showcase the new format, Spotify is launching seven Spotify Original Shows. There is no change in playlist usage rules or advertisement load requirements. Spotify Premium listeners will hear full tracks as part of these shows, while Free tier users will only be able to access 30 second clips of recorded music and will be unable to download Shows.
